Why It’s Important To Find Lingerie That Fits Right
It’s important to find lingerie that fits right, because the right-fitting underwear makes a lot of difference in the way you look, and the way your clothes fall.Â
It is also important to re-evaluate your lingerie size every 6 months or so, because your size may change over time. This is to ensure that you’re always wearing lingerie that fits just right.
It is always best to have someone else take your measurements for more accurate results!
Determining Your Bra Size
To determine your band size, wrap the tape measure directly under your bust as snugly as possible. If the result is an even number, add 4 inches; if it’s an odd number, add 5 inches.Â
For your cup size, measure the fullest part of your bust. We recommend that you use a non-padded bra for an accurate measurement, making sure that the tape measure is parallel to the ground, not the binding. Make sure the tape measure is just touching the fullest part of your breasts, not binding. Round off the result to the nearest whole number.
Subtract your band size measurement from this second measurement; the difference is your cup size. Refer to the chart below:
Example:
Band size - 36 (original measurement: 32 inches + 4 since it’s an even number)
Cup size – 40
40 – 36 = 4 (refer to chart – since the difference is 4, your cup size is D)
Therefore, your bra size is 36D.
Determining Your Panty Size
To determine your panty size, you have to know your waist and hip measurements. It would be best if you could find someone to take your measurements for the most accurate results.
To get your waist measurement, place the tape measure around the natural indentation of your waist (this is the narrowest part of your waist, where it curves). Should you have a hard time finding this curve, bend to the side – the crease would be the location of your waist.
For your hip measurement, wrap the tape measure around the fullest part of your waist, making sure it stays parallel to the ground.
With your waist and hip measurements, refer to the chart below for the proper panty fit. If your measurements represent two different sizes, we recommend the larger size for a more comfortable fit.
